Bennington Single Presentation Carriage

Bennington Single Presentation Carriage

Bennington is renowned for design excellence and world class performance. Never happy to sit on our laurels, we are always searching for ways in which we can enhance our carriages and create the greatest possible opportunity for driving success. Recently Team Bennington has been working with Kelly Houtappels, Bronze Medal winner at the 2022 World Single Horse Championships and Bennington Brand Ambassador, to design and create some exciting new performance enhancements for our world famous Presentation Carriages.

During the collaborative design process over the years, Kelly identified a number of enhancement opportunities which were designed, prototyped and given a thorough testing, with much success, Kelly said:

“The carriage was fabulous. The new model of Presentation Carriage is elegant and rolls light, giving the horse the freedom to move with expression and suspension. This was the first time driving the new carriage in an international competition and the response and stability in the cones was unbelievable...."

Features

  • Rear groom's seat lowered for added stability, especially in the cones driving phase. Provides greater confidence to drive at the competition speeds
  • Rear wheel steering in combination with Bennington's world renowned delayed steering which enables the driver to more easily drive the tight lines and switch backs within the cones course
  • Front and rear dampers to add additional stability and provide a more positive driving feel in the carriage
  • Triangulated aluminium wheels to increase strength, utilising the same technology as the wheels fitted to Bennington marathon carriages

The Bennington Single Presentation Carriage retains traditional elegance with cutting edge design and technology. Innovative construction enables this lightweight carriage to easily negotiate complex and demanding cones courses.
