Over the years, Bennington has received many queries regarding the sport of Carriage Driving. They often contain "is it difficult?...", "what equipment do I need?...", "how much does it cost?..." or more simply, "where do I begin?..."

Bennington Carriages, working closely with top Carriage Driver Amanda Saville, is pleased to offer our "Try Driving" days under the Sports Driving banner. Sports Driving is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting the sport of Carriage Driving.

Predominantly aimed at Equestrian people who have never driven before, Try Driving comprises practical, hands on experience with a Bennington Fun Bug carriage and Amanda's world renowned ponies. The emphasis is on fun and how accessible the sport is, with no need to get concerned about rules, regulations or etiquette at this stage.

During each Try Driving day, a helpful and knowledgeable selection of staff and enthusiasts will be in attendance to provide assistance and answer questions. Held at our purpose built facility in Long Bennington, Try Driving provides a fantastic opportunity to see if Carriage Driving is the sport for you!
